Yesterday, the New York State Attorney General, Eric Schneiderman announced a settlement with True Ultimate Standards Everywhere, Inc. ("TRUSTe"), a technology security company. TRUSTe failed to adequately assess members' websites, leaving child visitors to be tracked without parental consent.
